ZESPÀ – CRAFTSMANSHIP FROM THE SOUTH OF FRANCE
Founded in 2009 in Aix-en-Provence, the founders of Zespà initially focused on reinterpreting the traditional espadrille. Popular in the Mediterranean region, especially during the summer months, Zespà reinterpreted these slip-on shoes as more elegant models. In 2014, Zespà decided to change tack and began creating and producing high-end trainers. For more than a decade, Zespà has been showing its customers how versatile and refined the design of trainers can be, elevating what were once purely sports or leisurewear shoes.

We walk in our shoes every day. So, it's no surprise that comfort is at the heart of Zespà's approach to trainer design. Each pair of women's and men's trainers is equipped with an anatomical insole that gives the foot both support and stability, ensuring Zespà shoes offer a perfect fit. The lining of their comfortable trainers is made from soft and breathable calfskin leather. The excellent wearing properties of their models are complemented by timeless and elegant designs.

When it comes to manufacturing their trainers, the makers of Zespà rely solely on the region around Porto. Ensuring good working conditions for staff, in compliance with European safety and environmental standards, Zespà works primarily with family businesses that have preserved their expertise over generations. Their vision of luxurious craftsmanship is combined with technical expertise, tradition, true passion, and the use of materials that are both elegant and durable. The majority of the 100 or so steps required to make Zespà trainers are carried out by hand to fully satisfy their quality expectations.
